School Improvement

 We at Aberdare Town Church in Wales Primary School strive to provide an inspirational, positive and welcoming environment where there is a sense of pride and fun and where everyone works together with confidence, enthusiasm and mutual respect. We aim to nurture academic, personal, spiritual and social development in a caring and professional manner so that all achieve their full potential. Our vision has school improvement at its heart and benefits all children, supporting them as they grow and enabling them to be the best that they can be.

Our school improvement targets for 2025-2026 are:

  1. To improve standards in pupil independence and effectiveness​

  2. To improve standards in reading and spelling​

  3. To improve standards of mental arithmetic and to further embed the CPA (concrete, Pictorial, Abstract) approach​

  4. To improve standards in Welsh oracy​

  5. To further develop RVE (Religion, Values and Ethics) and our awareness and understanding of other faiths.​
